This American IPA is a vibrant sensory tribute to New Zealand hop varieties, delivering what the brewers call a full-blown Kiwi experience. An aromatic explosion of Riwaka and Rakau hops brings intense notes of passionfruit, ripe stone fruit, and apricot, while Southern Cross and NZ-grown Cascade add layers of zesty lemon, pine, and floral grapefruit. Despite the aggressive hop profile, a nicely complex malt backbone provides a sturdy foundation of toasted biscuit and light honey. It pours with brilliant clarity, leading to a crisp, dry finish that balances firm bitterness with lingering tropical resin and refined Southern Hemisphere character.

Appearance. Color is a radiant deep gold to light reddish-amber (approx. 8-10 SRM). It features a persistent, medium-sized white head with excellent lacing and brilliant clarity.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by passionfruit and pungent citrus from Riwaka, complemented by the stone fruit and orchard notes of Rakau. Subtle lemon zest and pine needles from Southern Cross are present, supported by a low, clean, grainy maltiness and light floral notes from NZ-grown Cascade.

Taste. Initial impression is decidedly hop-forward with flavors of tropical fruit, grapefruit, and resin. The malt profile is more complex than typical, offering bready and lightly toasted flavors that balance the firm, medium-high bitterness. The finish is medium-dry and clean, with a lingering hoppy and bitter aftertaste that showcases the unique New Zealand hop terroir.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily texture. Carbonation is moderate-high, providing a crispness that enhances the hop bite. There is a very light, smooth alcohol warmth appropriate for its strength.
