Ephemeral presents a vibrant, low-alcohol take on a Belgian Single, functioning as a delicate yet expressive table beer. The aroma is defined by a lively interplay of peppery Belgian yeast phenols and the noble, herbal spice of Hersbrucker hops. Fresh lemon zest provides a bright, citrusy lift that complements the botanical, savory hint of basil. On the palate, a soft foundation of crackery malt supports a firm bitterness and a remarkably dry finish. Effervescent and crisp, it balances traditional monastic yeast character with a modern, garden-fresh brightness that remains light and infinitely refreshing.
Appearance. Pale straw to light gold (3-4 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a tall, billowy white head that exhibits excellent persistence and fine-beaded lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring spicy, clove-like phenols and fruity esters of pear and lemon. The Hersbrucker hops provide a floral and spicy backdrop, enhanced by the distinct, zesty perfume of fresh lemon and a subtle, sweet-herbal undertone of basil. Low grainy-sweet malt presence.
