Whiplash

Emerald Rush is a vibrant Hazy IPA that showcases a saturated synergy between Riwaka and Ekuanot hops. The aroma is led by Riwaka's intense passionfruit and zesty pink grapefruit notes, while Ekuanot adds complex layers of ripe papaya, lime peel, and subtle melon. It presents with a glowing, opaque straw hue and a resilient white head. The palate is treated to a soft, pillowy texture carrying stone fruit and citrus flavors, supported by a restrained, bready malt backbone. Clean fermentation and low bitterness ensure a smooth, juicy finish where the distinctive southern hemisphere hop character remains the central focus.

Appearance. Color is straw to light gold (4 SRM). Opaque and hazy with a characteristic luminescent glow. Features a medium, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and significant lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring passionfruit, papaya, and lime. Subtle notes of green melon and citrus zest are present. Malt character is low, providing a clean, bready, and lightly grainy background. No caramel or toast. Clean fermentation with supportive fruity esters.

Taste. High fruity hop flavor mirroring the aroma with dominant passionfruit, lime, and stone fruit. Malt flavor is low to medium-low, providing a neutral, doughy base. Perceived bitterness is low and smooth, balancing the soft, off-dry finish without any harshness or hop burn. Clean aftertaste with lingering tropical fruit.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, creamy, and pillowy mouthfeel. Carbonation is moderate. Light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present. Entirely smooth with no astringency or raw starch texture.
