This formidable Double IPA showcases a massive lupulin profile driven by Columbus, Simcoe, Strata, Amarillo, Chinook, and Nelson Sauvin. The sensory journey begins with an explosive bouquet of pine resin, dank herbal notes, and bright citrus, transitioning into layers of tropical passionfruit and crushed white grapes. Despite its potent 10.5% ABV, it maintains a clean, lean frame where toasted grain malts offer fleeting support before a firm, resinous bitterness takes hold. The finish is remarkably dry and persistent, leaving a lingering trail of grapefruit zest and gooseberry from the Nelson Sauvin, balanced by a sophisticated, smooth alcoholic warmth that reinforces its bold character.

Appearance. Deep gold to pale copper with excellent clarity. It features a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass as it recedes.

Aroma. Intense hop aroma with prominent notes of resinous pine, grapefruit, and dank herbs. Secondary layers of passionfruit, orange zest, and gooseberry are evident. Malt is clean and neutral, serving as a subtle background to the hops, with a light, smooth alcohol presence.

Taste. High bitterness leads, followed by complex hop flavors of spicy pine, resin, and tropical fruit. The malt character is low and clean, offering a soft, grainy foundation. It finishes very dry with a lingering, clean hop bitterness and a touch of fruitiness. No harshness or astringency is present despite the high hopping rate.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is medium-high, and a noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth provides a pleasant glow without being solventy or hot.
