This Hazy Double India Pale Ale presents a luminous, opaque gold appearance, bursting with an intense hop-forward bouquet. Prominent layers of Citra and Mosaic deliver lush notes of mango, grapefruit, and mixed berries, while Simcoe adds a delicate piney resin and Hallertau Blanc contributes a sophisticated white grape character. The palate is saturated with hop oils, offering a velvety, juice-forward experience supported by a soft, bready malt foundation. Despite its strength, the bitterness is firm but smooth, leading to a clean, slightly resinous finish that masks the warming alcohol with persistent layers of complex tropical fruit.
Appearance. Opaque gold to pale orange (7-10 SRM) with a dense, persistent, creamy white head and thick lacing; heavy haze is characteristic.
Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring ripe pineapple, mango, and zesty citrus; secondary notes of passionfruit, white wine, and a hint of dank resin; very low, neutral to grainy malt background.
Taste. Massive hop saturation of tropical fruit and citrus oils; flavors of blueberry, pink grapefruit, and stone fruit; moderately high bitterness that remains smooth and non-astringent; soft, bready malt profile; medium-dry finish with a lingering fruity aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a creamy, pillowy texture; moderate carbonation; noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth; exceptionally smooth with no harshness.
