This quintessential Munich Helles exemplifies the pinnacle of Bavarian lager brewing, presenting a harmonious balance of soft, grainy-sweet malt and delicate Noble hop character. Its long cold maturation results in a brilliant yellow clarity and a refined, elegant profile topped with a fine-pored white foam. The palate is greeted by the gentle sweetness of Pilsner malt, reminiscent of fresh white bread, which is perfectly countered by a mild hoppy note and a fresh, spicy taste. A clean fermentation allows the pure ingredients to shine, leading into a smooth, rounded finish that remains refreshing and exceptionally drinkable.
Appearance. Pale yellow to gold (3-4 SRM). Brilliant clarity. Persistent, creamy white head with excellent retention and fine-pored lacing.
Aroma. Moderate grainy-sweet malt aroma, suggestive of fresh dough or crackers. Low spicy and floral hop aroma. Exceptionally clean fermentation profile with no esters or diacetyl.
Taste. Initial impression is of soft, moderately malty sweetness. Flavors of grainy-sweet malt dominate the palate. Hop bitterness is low to medium-low, providing support without being sharp. Low floral and spicy hop flavor. The finish is soft and dry, with a lingering, clean malt aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, well-lagered, creamy texture. Moderate carbonation. Very light alcohol warmth and no astringency.
