This inviting American Pale Ale presents a contemporary, hop-focused profile defined by a singular, intense showcase of Citra hops. It pours with a persistent haze and a creamy white head, reflecting its cask heritage. The aroma is highly expressive, bursting with tropical vibes of mango and passion fruit alongside a resinous, dank undertone. A subtle base of neutral pale malt provides just enough grainy support to balance the hop-forward character without adding sweetness. On the palate, vibrant citrus notes lead into a crisp, dry finish, where a clean bitterness and lingering tropical fruit notes define the refreshed experience.
Appearance. Pale golden (approx 6 SRM). Large, creamy white head with excellent retention and lacing. Distinctly hazy with a soft, glowing opacity.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by Citra; notes of mango, passion fruit, and lime zest are prominent, supported by a resinous dankness. Low grainy-sweet malt character with a clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial impression is hop-forward with flavors of grapefruit, lychee, and tropical fruit. Malt flavor is low, presenting as light cracker or neutral grain. Bitterness is moderate to firm but smooth, balancing a very dry finish. The aftertaste is clean with lingering citrus peel.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate-low, typical of a cask pour. No alcohol warmth and zero astringency.
