Weekend Project

Paradise Garage presents as a vibrant American IPA that emphasizes a modern, high-expression hop profile while maintaining a remarkably crisp drinkability. The sensory experience is dominated by the deliberate use of Citra and Cascade hops, which project an aromatic bouquet of zesty lime, ripe cantaloupe melon, and soft floral undertones. Its super pale malt base provides a clean, grainy foundation that stays out of the way, allowing the big dry-hop character to shine. While the finish is refreshing and dry, the hop expression is lush and saturated, striking a balance between classic citrus brightness and contemporary tropical fruit notes.

Appearance. Super pale straw to light gold (approx. 6 SRM); brilliant clarity with a crystalline shimmer. Supports a medium-sized, bright white head with excellent persistence and fine-beaded lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of grapefruit zest, zesty lemon, and distinct ripe melon. A delicate floral, almost rose-like quality emerges in the background. Malt is low and neutral, presenting as a clean, crackery graininess with no caramel. Fermentation is very clean with no discernible esters or phenols.

Taste. The palate is led by high hop flavors of zesty citrus and sweet melon. The malt profile is restrained and lean, offering a light grainy-sweetness that quickly gives way to the hop character. Bitterness is moderate but smooth, lacking any harsh edge. The finish is notably dry and crisp, leaving a lingering aftertaste of citrus oils and fresh floral hops.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a very smooth, clean texture. Carbonation is moderate-high, providing a refreshing, prickly sensation that enhances the beer's crispness. Alcohol warmth is negligible, and there is no perceived astringency.
