This American IPA delivers an expressive hop profile driven by the interplay of Mosaic and Citra. The aroma soars with intense notes of tropical mango and vibrant citrus, bolstered by the concentrated punch of Cryo Citra. A complex foundation of Talus contributes nuances of pink grapefruit and dried rose petals, while Chinook anchors the profile with classic pine and a touch of earthy herbaceousness. Despite its moderate strength, it presents a full-flavored experience where a clean, grainy malt backbone supports a firm bitterness. The finish is crisp and dry, leaving a lingering impression of resinous hops and sun-ripened tropical fruit.
Appearance. Deep gold with brilliant clarity and a moderate, frothy white head that shows good persistence and leaves delicate lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent mango, passion fruit, and bright orange zest. Supporting layers of resinous pine and a unique floral-earthy note are present. Malt is low, presenting as clean, crackery grain. Fermentation is clean with no significant esters.
Taste. Initial hop-forward impact of grapefruit and tropical stone fruit. The medium-high bitterness is clean and well-integrated. The malt provides a light toasted bread substrate without cloying sweetness. The beer finishes dry and crisp with a lingering resinous and herbaceous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, slightly oily hop texture. Moderate carbonation provides a refreshing prickle on the tongue. There is no astringency or significant alcohol warmth.
