Ray delivers a high-impact sensory profile, transforming the Double IPA into a decadent, creamy experience. The aroma is an explosion of tropical saturation, where El Dorado and Azacca hops contribute intense notes of pineapple, mango, and stone fruit. Citra adds a bright, citrusy edge of grapefruit and lime zest. This intense hoppiness is layered over a silky, lactose-driven backbone that provides a rich, velvety mouthfeel. While the bitterness remains firm, it is elegantly balanced by a residual sweetness, finishing with a lingering fruit-punch character that masks the 8.2% alcohol with remarkable smoothness and depth.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (8 SRM); thick, persistent, creamy white head with dense lacing; hazy to opaque appearance consistent with the milkshake style.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent mango, pineapple, and candied stone fruit from Azacca and El Dorado; bright citrus notes of grapefruit and lime from Citra; supportive sweet creaminess from lactose; clean fermentation profile.
