Donar American IPA is a precision-engineered collaboration that emphasizes extreme drinkability and hop vibrance through its Cold IPA interpretation. This beer presents a modern, lean profile, utilizing a crisp fermentation to let the hops take center stage. Expect a flood of tropical fruit, pine resin, and zesty citrus on the nose. The palate is defined by a lightning-quick finish, supported by a subtle, grainy malt backbone that never crowds the hop intensity. High carbonation and a dry body accentuate the firm bitterness, resulting in a refreshing, palate-cleansing experience that balances intensity with remarkable clarity of flavor.
Appearance. Pale straw to light gold (6 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a tall, snow-white, persistent head that leaves fine lacy tracks on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring notes of ripe mango, passionfruit, and a distinct resinous pine. Low, clean, cracker-like maltiness provides a neutral base. Fermentation is exceptionally clean with no perceptible esters or sulfur.
Taste. Sharp, clean initial impression. Dominant hop flavors of citrus zest and tropical fruit lead into a medium-high, firm bitterness. Very low malt sweetness, tasting of white bread or crackers. Finish is bone-dry and crisp, with a lingering, clean hop bitterness and no harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a very crisp, lean texture. High carbonation provides a lively, scrubbing bubbles effect. Alcohol warmth is very light and well-integrated. Zero astringency.
