Waitoa Elemental is a lush Hazy IPA that serves as a canvas for three world-class hops. Nelson Sauvin leads the charge with its unmistakable gooseberry and white wine character, while Hallertau Blanc adds delicate floral notes and further vinous depth. Citra anchors the profile with a massive punch of tropical mango and bright citrus. The experience is saturated with juice-like vibrancy, supported by a soft, bready malt backbone that creates a pillowy texture. At 7.5% ABV, the alcohol is well-integrated, allowing the fruit-forward character and its smooth, restrained bitterness to remain the focus through a clean, off-dry finish.
Appearance. Straw to deep gold (4–6 SRM). Opaque with a consistent, uniform haze and a vibrant shine. Features a thick, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and beautiful lacing.
Aroma. High-intensity hop aroma dominated by tropical passionfruit, pineapple, and gooseberry. Notable notes of white grape and citrus zest from the Nelson Sauvin and Hallertau Blanc. Malt is low and neutral, suggesting fresh bread or dough, with a clean fermentation profile.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor featuring mango, guava, and citrus. The vinous gooseberry character is prominent, supported by a soft, grainy malt sweetness. Bitterness is moderate but perceived as low due to the full body, finishing smooth without any harshness or astringency. Aftertaste is a lingering medley of tropical fruit.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full, soft, and pillowy body. Moderate carbonation. Features a smooth, silky texture with a light, well-integrated alcohol warmth that never becomes hot or solventy.
