Vocation Brewery's Yeti is a vibrant Hazy IPA that showcases a sophisticated hop profile featuring Superdelic, Ekuanot, and Simcoe. The sensory experience is led by high-intensity aromas of freshly picked berries and bright citrus, grounded by a distinctive earthy pine undercurrent. On the palate, the hop-forward character delivers lush flavors of tropical fruit and forest berries, supported by a neutral, bready malt backbone. Despite its imposing name, the beer maintains a soft, approachable mouthfeel with a restrained bitterness that highlights the juicy, biotransformed character of the hops. It finishes clean with a lingering citrus zest and a gentle, resinous touch.
Appearance. Pours a pale straw to light gold with a dense, opaque haze. Features a thick, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and significant lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High hop intensity featuring prominent notes of red berries and tropical fruit from Superdelic, complemented by Ekuanot’s lime and papaya facets. Simcoe adds a layered complexity of grapefruit zest and earthy pine. Malt is low and neutral, offering a light, grainy sweetness in the background without caramel or toast.
Taste. High fruit hop flavor dominates, echoing the berry and citrus notes found in the aroma. The mid-palate reveals soft melon and lemon pith. Bitterness is low to medium, well-integrated and never harsh. The malt provides a soft, bready foundation. Finishes off-dry and smooth with a subtle, clean piney resonance in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a soft, pillowy texture. Carbonation is moderate. Alcohol warmth is very light and well-integrated. Smooth, with no astringency, harshness, or hop burn.

BREWERY INFO
VOCATION -John Hickling worked in IT for a bank. The money was good, but he had a desire to create something more than spreadsheets. As a beer fanatic, he decided to try brewing his own. He built a tiny brewery in his kitchen with plastic buckets and parts from a hardware store. Brewing beer was a revelation. His friends agreed the beer he made at home was better than they could buy in the pub, and he dreamed of turning his passion into a business.
Inspired, he quit his job, sold his house and co-founded his first brewery in 2008. The awards soon rolled in, and the brewery was a storming success. After five years, he felt he had taken the business as far as he could. He sold his stake in the brewery, and started thinking about new projects. But he had a problem: he desperately missed brewing. It took selling his first brewery for him to realise that brewing was never just a job, it was his vocation.
He decided to start from scratch and apply all the accumulated knowledge he’d gained at his first brewery into something and somewhere new. In 2015 Vocation Brewery was born, with one member of staff, a rebuilt chicken shed, and a dog for company. Today we have around 60 staff, and sell the equivalent of 10 million cans per year. We’ve come a long way, but it’s still our vocation.
