Hilltop Helles offers a refreshing Yorkshire take on the classic Munich Helles, utilizing Yorkshire sourced malts and European hops. The sensory experience is defined by a bright, brilliant clarity and a clean, grainy-sweet malt foundation. Delicate floral and herbal notes from the hops provide a sophisticated but restrained counterpoint to the soft, rounded malt profile. Brewed with Cragg Vale spring water, the beer maintains a crisp, refreshing edge that cuts through gloom, finishing dry with a gentle, smooth carbonation. It captures the elegance of a traditional German lager while showcasing the crispness of its local northern English ingredients.
Appearance. Pale gold (approx. 4 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a persistent, creamy white head that leaves moderate lacing on the glass.
Aroma. Moderate intensity with a clean, grainy-sweet malt character dominant. Low European hop aroma featuring herbal and subtle floral notes. Fermentation is clean with no fruity esters or diacetyl.
