This decadent Sweet Stout envelops the senses in a wave of rich milk chocolate and sweetened espresso. Crafted with deep dark crystal malt and roasted barley, it delivers an aroma dominated by cocoa, sweet cream, and lightly toasted grains. The palate is intensely indulgent, balancing the soft bitterness of the roasted barley against a velvety sweetness that mimics liquid milk chocolate. Luxuriously smooth and full-bodied, this modern take on the style leaves a lingering, comforting dessert-like finish that is deeply satisfying, showcasing a masterful play between roasted grain and creamy sweetness.
Appearance. Very dark brown to opaque black (approx. 35-40 SRM) with a thick, dense, creamy tan head that exhibits excellent retention and leaves rich lacing on the glass.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity with dominant aromas of milk chocolate, cocoa powder, and sweet cream. Subtle underlying notes of dark crystal malt, lightly roasted coffee, and faint dark fruit esters, with no perceptible hop aroma or diacetyl.
Taste. An indulgent initial impression of sweet milk chocolate and creamy espresso. Dominated by rich chocolate and mild coffee-like roasted barley flavors. Highly sweet but balanced by a moderate, smooth bitterness that prevents it from being cloying. The finish is sweet, velvety, and long-lasting with lingering chocolate-and-cream notes and no hop flavor.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full to full-bodied with a highly creamy, luscious, and velvety texture. Carbonation is low to moderate, enhancing the rich profile. Exhibits a very mild, pleasant alcohol warmth and absolutely no roasted astringency.
