Vocation Brewery’s Baby G reimagines the classic Irish Stout by infusing it with the lush, dessert-like qualities of Irish cream and fresh espresso beans. This stout balances the traditional roasted barley foundation with a modern, velvety texture derived from the addition of wheat and lactose. The sensory experience is dominated by an aromatic punch of dark-roasted coffee and cocoa, softened by a silky sweetness that mimics the richness of a cream liqueur. Despite its slightly elevated strength and adjuncts, it retains the characteristic drinkability of the style, offering a luxurious, full-bodied interplay of bitter espresso and a smooth, milky finish.

Appearance. Opaque jet black with deep garnet highlights visible at the edges. It supports a thick, long-lasting, tan-colored head with excellent retention and creamy lacing.

Aroma. High intensity of fresh espresso beans and dark roasted grain. A rich, sweet layer of Irish cream and vanilla provides a decadent aromatic bridge, supported by secondary notes of unsweetened cocoa and a very subtle earthy hop background.

Taste. Initial palate of sharp, dark-roasted coffee and bittersweet chocolate. The mid-palate is rounded by a lactose-driven sweetness and the smooth character of Irish cream. Bitterness is moderate but softened by the residual sugars and wheat. The finish is long and indulgent, leaving a lingering taste of creamy espresso and toasted malt with a clean, balanced aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notably silky, creamy texture attributed to the wheat and lactose. Carbonation is moderate and smooth. Only a very subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present.
