Afterglow is a vibrant Double IPA that showcases a sophisticated Southern Hemisphere hop profile. A blend of Motueka, Rakau, Nelson Sauvin, and Pacifica creates an intense bouquet of mango, ripe peach, and passion fruit. Nelson Sauvin provides its signature white grape character, while Pacifica and Motueka contribute bright citrus zest. Despite its 8% ABV, the beer maintains high drinkability with a soft bitterness and a smooth, crisp finish. The neutral malt base allows the tropical and stone fruit expressions to lead, resulting in a contemporary interpretation that balances high hop intensity with a clean, refreshing profile.

Appearance. Pale gold to light orange (6-9 SRM). The beer shows a slight haze typical of modern hopping techniques. It is topped by a moderate-sized, persistent white head with excellent lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent tropical fruit notes of mango and passion fruit, complemented by ripe stone fruit. Subtle hints of white grape and citrus zest are present, supported by a neutral, clean, grainy malt background and a lightly fruity fermentation profile.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical and stone fruit hop flavors. Nelson Sauvin provides a distinct vinous character, while Motueka adds lime-like citrus. Bitterness is firm but lacks harshness, balanced by a soft, unobtrusive malt character. The finish is medium-dry and clean, with a lingering hoppy aftertaste of peach and citrus.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is medium-high, enhancing the crispness. There is a restrained, smooth alcohol warmth that reflects its strength without being hot or solventy.
