This modern Gose collaboration captures a vibrant botanical essence through an intricate citrus-forward profile. The foundation is a traditional Gose character of salt and coriander, significantly elevated by the addition of lemon verbena and bergamot. Wild Magao berries introduce a sophisticated, peppery citrus complexity that harmonizes with the clean lactic acidity. Pilsner and wheat malts provide a soft, doughy base that supports the bright, lemony acidity without becoming sharp or aggressive. Appearance. Straw to pale yellow (3-4 SRM). Unfiltered with a moderate, persistent haze. Tall, white, effervescent head with tight bubbles and fair lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Bright citrus-forward notes of bergamot and lemon verbena layered over a light, doughy wheat malt character. A subtle spicy-floral note from the coriander and Magao berries is evident. Clean lactic sourness provides a refreshing backbone with no hop aroma.
Taste. Initial impression is tart and citrusy. Medium-low doughy malt flavor is quickly overtaken by vibrant notes of lemon and floral bergamot. Salt is noticeable but restrained, providing a mouthwatering quality. Coriander adds a citrusy spice. Very low bitterness with no hop flavor. Finish is dry, acidic, and refreshing, with lingering botanical notes.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body, softened by the wheat and salt presence. High carbonation creates a lively, effervescent prickle. Minimal alcohol warmth and very low astringency; the acidity is smooth and well-integrated.
