Archibaltic is a sophisticated Baltic Porter that marries traditional deep malt richness with the exotic influence of Long Pepper from Java. The aroma is a concentrated blend of dark chocolate, molasses, and dried fruits like raisins and prunes, accented by the pepper’s unique earthy and woodsy musk. On the palate, a velvety sweetness of toffee and caramel gives way to smooth, roasted flavors of licorice and coffee. The Long Pepper provides a delicate, spicy warmth that lingers alongside a clean, deceptive alcohol presence. Appearance. Deep opaque mahogany to dark brown with ruby highlights at the edges. Topped with a thick, persistent, tan-colored head that exhibits excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity of rich maltiness, featuring notes of dark chocolate, molasses, and deep toast. A complex ester profile suggestive of prunes and raisins is complemented by the unique, earthy, and slightly woodsy aroma of Long Pepper from Java.
