Viven Master IPA presents a modern take on the American IPA, balancing its 8% ABV with an approachable, fruit-forward profile. The hop bill is anchored by the clean bitterness of Merkur, while Citra and Nelson Sauvin provide a vibrant sensory tapestry of grapefruit, gooseberry, and crushed white grapes. Despite its strength, the character remains fresh and drinkable, mirroring the legendary figure it honors. The sensory experience is dominated by these New World hops, supported by a restrained, grainy malt backbone that allows the tropical and vinous notes to shine. It finishes exceptionally smooth and clean, emphasizing hop flavor over aggressive bitterness.
Appearance. Deep gold to light reddish-amber with excellent clarity. It features a medium-sized, off-white head with good persistence and light lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent lime zest, passion fruit, and tropical melon. The Nelson Sauvin hops contribute a distinctive white grape and gooseberry note. Low, clean, bready maltiness supports the hop presentation with a neutral fermentation profile.
Taste. The initial impression is hop-forward with flavors of grapefruit, lychee, and grape skin. Malt flavor is low and grainy, providing a lean foundation that avoids caramel sweetness.
