Villages Yeti, a collaboration with Pretty Decent Beer Co, is an assertive Double IPA that balances high-intensity hopping with a lean, approachable structure. This 8% powerhouse leads with a punchy aromatic profile of mango, grapefruit, and resinous pine, supported by a clean, grainy malt backbone. The palate is dominated by layered tropical fruit and citrus flavors, leading to a crisp, dry finish with a firm, lingering bitterness. Despite its strength, the alcohol is smoothly integrated, providing a gentle warmth that complements the vibrant hop character. It is a focused, modern interpretation that emphasizes hop expression and high drinkability over malt complexity.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (7-10 SRM) with good clarity; features a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma with prominent notes of passionfruit, grapefruit zest, and resinous pine. A low, clean, grainy-sweet malt character supports the hops, accompanied by a neutral fermentation profile and a subtle, smooth alcohol presence.
Taste. Strong hop-forward flavors of pineapple, citrus, and light resin. Malt character is low and unobtrusive, providing a soft, neutral base. Bitterness is moderately high and firm but lacks harshness. The finish is dry to medium-dry with a clean, lingering hoppy bitterness and light alcohol warmth.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture and medium-high carbonation. Displays a restrained, well-integrated alcohol warmth without any hop-derived astringency.
