VIF Kuss Kuss is a vibrant India Pale Lager that marries the crisp, clean structure of a German Pils with modern aromatic complexity. Brilliant and straw-colored, it showcases a sophisticated hop profile driven by Hallertau Blanc, Huell Melon, and Cashmere. These varieties impart a bouquet of white grape, honeydew melon, and subtle tropical citrus over a delicate, doughy malt base. While the 6% ABV provides slightly more substance than a traditional lager, the finish remains remarkably dry and refreshing. The collaboration between VIF and Brasserie Tandem results in a sharp, bitter, yet intensely fruity lager that balances Old World precision with New World hop intensity.

Appearance. Straw to deep yellow (3-4 SRM); brilliant clarity with a limpid, sparkling character. Features a dense, creamy, long-lasting white head with excellent lacing.

Aroma. Moderately high intensity featuring a modern fruit-forward hop character. Distinct notes of white wine grapes, ripe melon, and soft lemon zest from the Cashmere and Hallertau Blanc hops. Supported by a low grainy-sweet, cracker-like malt aroma and a perfectly clean lager fermentation profile without esters or diacetyl.

Taste. Initial presentation of crisp, doughy malt is quickly overtaken by a firm hop bitterness and complex flavors of strawberry, gooseberry, and melon. The bitterness is medium-high but smooth, leading into a bone-dry, refreshing finish. The aftertaste lingers with a clean, flinty minerality and a persistent citrusy hop resin that encourages the next sip.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a crisp, snappy texture. Carbonation is moderately high, providing a prickly, refreshing effervescence. Despite the slightly elevated alcohol content, there is only a very subtle, well-integrated warmth and no harshness or astringency.

Sensory Profile.
