Vic Brewery Trajectes, a collaboration with Rec Brew, presents a quintessential Hazy IPA profile defined by its luminous, opaque appearance and saturated hop intensity. The aroma is a concentrated burst of tropical and citrus fruit, leading with notes of ripe mango and pulpy orange over a foundation of soft, bready malt. On the palate, the hop-forward character remains dominant, offering waves of stone fruit and pineapple without the sharp bitterness found in traditional West Coast styles. The mouthfeel is exceptionally smooth and pillowy, a result of the chloride-rich water and flaked grains, finishing with a gentle, juice-like sweetness that invites the next sip.
Appearance.Straw to light amber with a deep, opaque haze that creates a characteristic shine. It is topped by a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and lacing.
Aroma.High intensity hop aroma featuring notes of mango, pineapple, and citrus zest. A clean, lightly bready malt backbone supports the hops, accompanied by subtle fruity fermentation esters that complement the tropical character without any herbal or grassy notes.
Taste.High fruity hop flavors echoing the tropical and citrus aroma. Low to medium-high bitterness is present but remains soft and integrated, never harsh. The malt is lightly grainy and supportive. It finishes medium-dry with a lingering impression of fruit juice and a clean fermentation profile.
Mouthfeel.Medium-full body with a soft, smooth, and pillowy texture. Carbonation is moderate, and there is no astringency or harshness. At 6.1% ABV, there is a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
