This Imperial Stout is a decadent sensory performance, weaving together deep roasted malts with an array of specialty additions. Appearance. Jet black and completely opaque (35-40+ SRM). Crowned by a dense, deep tan head with moderate retention that leaves thick lacing on the glass. High viscosity is evident by the slow-moving legs when swirled.

Aroma. High intensity with a complex blend of black treacle, bittersweet chocolate, and roasted coffee. Distinctive notes of sweet liquorice and fresh, tart raspberries are prominent, backed by a light alcohol warmth and a hint of dark fruit esters like raisins and plums. Hop aroma is very low and earthy.

Taste. Initial impression is of intense, rich molasses and dark chocolate. The flavor profile is dominated by the interplay of sweet liquorice and a bright raspberry fruitiness.
