Vetra Lordz
Embodying a literal carpet bombing of hops, Vetra Lordz delivers a powerful yet incredibly drinkable expression of a modern Double IPA. At 8.1% ABV, this golden ale unleashes an intense, saturated blast of tropical fruit, bright citrus zest, and sticky pine resin. A minimalist, clean malt backbone provides just enough support to balance the aggressive hop bitterness without cluttering the palate. The fermentation is exceptionally clean, allowing the vibrant hop oils to shine through to a dry, crisp finish with a well-integrated, subtle warmth. It is a bold, modern powerhouse engineered for ultimate high-impact drinkability.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper in color. Shows excellent clarity, though a very faint, soft haze from heavy dry-hopping is acceptable. Crowned by a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head with excellent retention and lacing.
Aroma. Prominent to intense hop-forward aroma bursting with notes of passion fruit, mango, pink grapefruit, and resinous pine. Supported by a very low, neutral, grainy malt character. Fermentation is clean with a faint, smooth hint of warming alcohol, free of hot fusels.
Taste. Initial impression is a massive wave of hop flavor mirroring the tropical, citrus, and piney aroma. Bitterness is high to very high but smooth, avoiding any harsh or grassy bite. Malts are soft and unobtrusive, contributing a faint neutral sweetness. Finishes dry to medium-dry with a clean, long-lasting, bitter hop aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light to medium body with a remarkably smooth, almost creamy texture. Moderate to high carbonation enhances the crisp finish. Features a gentle, warming alcohol presence that is clean and well-integrated, with absolutely no hop astringency.
