Tristis is a commanding Double IPA that balances significant strength with a refined sensory profile. Dominant aromas of ripe apricot and vibrant citrus leap from the glass, supported by a clean, neutral malt base. At 10% ABV, the beer presents a firm, sweet body and a remarkably smooth mouthfeel, typical of VERTERE's polished craftsmanship. The palate mirrors the nose, delivering intense stone fruit and resinous hop flavors that transition into a moderately high bitterness. This bitterness remains clean and integrated, ensuring the high alcohol content is felt as a gentle warmth rather than a sharp burn, finishing with a lingering, fruity persistence.
Appearance. Light orange-copper (SRM 9) with good clarity. Features a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head with excellent lacing.
