This Hazy IPA showcases a vibrant collaboration with NZ Hops, delivering a punchy sensory experience. It opens with intense, pungent aromas of white wine and zesty lime, underscored by deep notes of dank pineapple. On the palate, the soft, bready malt provides a plush canvas for complex layers of tropical fruit and unusual yet comforting hedgerow herbs. The finish is remarkably smooth and off-dry, balancing a gentle, restrained bitterness with a lingering vinous quality. With its signature Verdant creaminess and opaque radiance, this beer exemplifies the lush, juice-forward character of the style, focusing on depth of hop oil expression over aggressive bite.
Appearance. Deep straw to yellow (4-5 SRM) with a characteristic opaque haze that provides a bright shine. Features a medium-high, rocky white head with excellent retention and meringue-like lacing.
Aroma. High intensity aromatics of white wine grapes, lime zest, and pungent dank pineapple. A background of clean, bready malt is present, alongside a unique, comforting hedgerow herbal note. Clean fermentation with no harsh alcohol.
Taste. Dominant flavors of tropical pineapple and bright lime juice with a distinct vinous character. Low-medium bitterness that never turns harsh, balanced by a soft, grainy malt profile. The finish is off-dry and fruit-forward with lingering herbal notes.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, soft, and slightly creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate. No astringency or hop burn is present, though a very light alcohol warmth is perceptible.
