This Hazy IPA showcases a vibrant collision of Citra and Nelson Sauvin hops, delivering a saturated sensory experience. Aromas of zesty lime and ripe mango from the Citra integrate with the distinctive crushed white grape and gooseberry notes of Nelson Sauvin. The palate follows suit, offering a lush tropical fruit profile supported by a subtle, grainy malt backbone. Verdant’s signature soft water profile creates a pillowy texture that carries these intense hop oils without harshness. It finishes with a delicate, fruit-driven sweetness and a restrained bitterness, emphasizing the juicy character and complexity of these two powerhouse hop varieties.
Appearance. Pours a deep straw to light gold (4-5 SRM) with a dense, opaque haze providing a luminous shine. Topped by a thick, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and persistent lacing.
Aroma. High-intensity hop-forward bouquet featuring pronounced notes of passionfruit, gooseberry, and Sauvignon Blanc grapes. Supportive layers of bright citrus—specifically grapefruit and lime zest—blend with a background of sweet bready malt and neutral fermentation esters.
Taste. Dominant flavors of tropical fruit and white wine grapes lead the way, followed by a wave of citrus peel. The malt presence is low and bready, serving only to anchor the hops. Bitterness is medium-low and smooth, allowing for an off-dry finish that emphasizes juice-like fruitiness over hop bite.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy texture and moderate carbonation. There is no astringency or hop burn, resulting in a very smooth, well-integrated feel with a faint, clean alcohol warmth at 6.5% ABV.
