This American Pale Ale, a collaboration between Verdant and Track, presents a modern, hazy interpretation of the style. The experimental hop variety NZH-109 takes center stage, delivering a pungent, tropical, and slightly funky aromatic profile. Citra provides a steady foundation of bright citrus and subtle fuel-like resin. Despite its rambunctious hop character, the beer remains exceptionally soft and pillowy on the palate. A lean, neutral malt base allows the complex New Zealand and American hop interplay to shine, finishing clean with a balanced bitterness that invites another sip. It is a vibrant, fruit-forward expression of contemporary brewing.

Appearance. Pale gold (6 SRM) with a thick, long-lasting white head that leaves significant lacing. Characteristic of the style's modern hazy evolution, the beer is opaque and cloudy.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by tropical fruit, passion fruit, and a distinct pungent funk. Supporting notes of citrus peel and light resinous fuel are present. Low, neutral grainy maltiness provides a clean background with minimal fruity esters.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical fruit and citrus. Malt flavor is low and neutral, providing a bready, supportive backbone without caramel sweetness. Moderate hop bitterness is well-integrated. The fermentation is clean, leading to a medium-dry finish where lingering notes of tropical fruit and resin persist.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a soft, pillowy, and creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate. It is smooth on the palate with no alcohol warmth and absolutely no astringency.
