This elevated Oatmeal Stout presents a gourmand sensory profile, significantly enriched by its 8% ABV and a cold infusion of tonka beans. The aroma is a decadent fusion of roasted coffee and dark chocolate, layered with the tonka’s signature notes of vanilla, almond, and a hint of cinnamon. On the palate, a heavy addition of roasted malts delivers deep cocoa and espresso flavors, while the generous use of oatmeal and wheat creates a remarkably silky, velvet-like texture. Despite its strength, the finish remains approachable, balancing smooth malt sweetness with a gentle spicy complexity and a warming, lingering richness.
Appearance. Opaque black with a thick, creamy, and persistent deep tan head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity of roasted grains, featuring espresso and dark chocolate. The tonka beans contribute complex notes of vanilla, marzipan, and sweet spice. Moderate dark fruit esters are present, with no detectable hop aroma.
