Lên men: Vedett là dòng bia sử dụng phương pháp lên men mặt trên, và được lên men lần hai trong chai và trong thùng gỗ.
Phong cách: bia lúa mỳ.
Thành phần: Mạch nha lúa mạch màu nhạt và lúa mì nguyên hạt. Hoa bia Saaz, Hallertau Magnum và Hallertau Perle. Curaçao (vỏ cam khô) và rau mùi.
Bia lúa mì là một phần không thể thiếu của Văn hóa bia Bỉ. Không có gì đáng ngạc nhiên rằng, sau thành công của bia Vedett Extra Blond, bia Vedett Extra White cũng được ra mắt vào năm 2008. Ai cũng cho rằng một loại bia pils cao cấp nên được bổ sung bởi một loại bia lúa mì cao cấp. Và đúng như vậy.
Diện mạo ban đầu của bia khá đục và nhạt màu, tỏa ra ánh sáng màu xanh huyền ảo. Ngay sau khi rót bia, bạn có thể nhận biết được hương thơm thảo mộc trong cốc bia nhưng hương thơm ấy không quá mạnh.
Hương thơm chủ yếu là của vỏ cam, và hương thơm của rau mùi dịu nhẹ càng làm nổi bật hương vỏ cam. Vị bia nhẹ nhàng, hơi chua và có chút bột bột , tạo cảm giác đậm đà trong miệng.
Dòng bia này rất tươi mới, một thức uống giải khát tuyệt vời với hậu vị ngọt như mật ong và có hương thơm nhẹ nhàng. Để đảm bảo rằng hương vị phát triển một cách đầy đủ, bia được lên men lần hai trong chai và trong thùng trong thời gian vài tuần.
Màu sắc và độ tinh khiết
Bia Vedett Extra White có màu vàng nhẹ và hơi đục. Tính chất đục của bia là một phần của kiểu bia này, chính những nguyên liệu tự nhiên của bia tạo nên những đặc tính đó của bia.
Khi bia được làm lạnh và rót đúng cách, bạn sẽ có được một cốc bia đẹp với lớp bọt trắng kem cùng với những bọt bia nhỏ xíu xinh xắn.
Bảo quản và dự trữ
Sau khi đóng chai, dòng bia này có thể được trữ khoảng một năm trong chai hoặc 9 tháng trong thùng vòi. Bia được bảo quản tốt nhất trong điều kiện môi trường tối, khô ráo và lạnh với nhiệt độ môi trường không thay đổi.
Các thùng chứa được trữ lật ngược để men bia trộn lẫn vào bia.
Ngược lại, chai bia nên được dựng thẳng đứng. Bia có thể được dự trữ nhiều nhất là 1 năm trong chai hoặc trong thùng gỗ, mùi vị và màu sắc của bia sẽ không bị ảnh hưởng xấu trong giai đoạn này. Cũng giống như bia Vedett Extra Blond, chắc chắn không nên dự trữ dòng bia này hơn một năm trời.
Hương vị
Với hương thơm tươi mới và tinh tế của vỏ cam và thảo mộc, bia Vedett Extra White có mùi vị tươi mới nổi bật do hương thơm của vỏ cam và rau mùi, và cuối cùng được hoàn thiện bởi vị chua dịu nhẹ và hậu vị khô. Bia cũng có vị đắng tinh tế nhẹ nhàng từ men bia.
Nhiệt độ lí tưởng: 3 – 6°C / 41° F – 42°F
Cốc uống bia
Bia Vedett Extra White cũng được dùng trong chiếc cốc chân cao thon dài giống như cốc của Vedett Extra Blond, điểm khác biệt chỉ nằm ở logo. Có cả một loại cốc nhẹ hơn dành riêng cho kiểu bia vàng.
Bia dùng trong nấu ăn
Dòng bia Vedett White này kết hợp rất tuyệt vời với các món có chứa su hào, củ cải, thì là, cá hồi, trai, gà, món chả giò, món có giấm, rau mùi, sả, chanh và táo, không quên món phô mai West-Vlaamse Keiems và nhiều món phô mai không qua tiệt trùng khác. Trong nấu ăn, sẽ rất tuyệt khi thêm chút nước bia của dòng bia này vào nước dùng món trai và các loại sò khác.
