Celebrating seven years of craft, this Imperial Stout is a decadent tapestry of flavor, pouring like liquid obsidian. At a formidable 14% ABV, it balances the deep, roasty intensity of coffee and cacao nibs with a lush, confectionery sweetness. Layers of maple syrup and buttery caramel create a sticky, indulgent core, while aromatic ripples of vanilla and toasted coconut add tropical depth. A whisper of warming cinnamon threads through the finish, cutting through the dense, velvety body. This is a luxuriously smooth, full-bodied masterpiece that captures the essence of a celebratory dessert in every complex, lingering sip.
Appearance. Jet black and completely opaque (40+ SRM). A dense, creamy, deep tan head provides moderate retention, leaving thick, oily legs on the glass as it swirls.
Aroma. Intense and multifaceted; dominant notes of dark chocolate cacao and freshly roasted coffee lead. These are softened by a rich, sweet bouquet of maple syrup, toasted coconut, and floral vanilla. Subtle spicy undertones of cinnamon emerge alongside a deep, vinous alcohol warmth and a hint of burnt sugar caramel.
Taste. Rich and syrupy, featuring an initial wave of bittersweet cacao and espresso. The mid-palate is dominated by the sugary richness of maple and buttery caramel, harmonized by creamy vanilla and coconut. Moderate hop bitterness is present but largely masked by the malt density. The finish is long and sticky, with a lingering warmth from the cinnamon and high alcohol content.
Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and exceptionally viscous with a chewy, velvety texture. Low carbonation enhances the creamy mouthfeel. A significant, smooth alcohol warmth is felt, without being harsh or solventy.
