This Double New England IPA presents an explosive sensory profile driven by a heavy-handed application of Motueka, Nelson Sauvin, and Rakau hops. The aromatics lead with vibrant notes of crushed lime, fresh gooseberry, and white wine grapes, transitioning into deep tropical layers of stone fruit and apricot. On the palate, a soft, pillowy malt backbone provides a smooth canvas for saturated hop flavors of mango and citrus zest. While the mouthfeel is lush and medium-full, the finish remains remarkably clean with a restrained, soft bitterness and a well-integrated alcohol warmth that highlights its strength without harshness or cloying sweetness.

Appearance. Deep straw to pale gold (SRM 4-6). Opaque with a characteristic milky haze; features a dense, persistent white head with excellent lacing.

Aroma. High intensity, dominated by New World hop character. Prominent notes of lime zest from the Motueka, white grape and gooseberry from the Nelson Sauvin, and ripe peach from the Rakau. Background malt is neutral and bready with a clean fermentation profile.

Taste. Initial impression of tropical juice. Intense flavors of passionfruit and crushed lime give way to a supportive, doughy malt character. Hop bitterness is moderate and smooth, balancing the soft malt sweetness. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering nectarine and floral aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a creamy, soft texture. Carbonation is moderate. A gentle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, though it remains smooth without any hop-derived astringency.
