Van Moll Lips Like Sugar is a vibrant, multi-layered Experimental Beer that blurs the line between a botanical gin cocktail and a fruit-forward ale. The sensory journey begins with an explosion of ripe Blackberry and Strawberry, complemented by the deep, tart nuances of Cassis. Zesty Lime adds a bright, citrusy lift that cuts through the fruit richness. Botanical Gin notes provide a sophisticated herbal complexity, offering hints of juniper and spice that weave through the berry melange. This complex blend finishes with a crisp acidity and a refreshing, dry character, delivering a sophisticated drinking experience that perfectly mirrors a masterfully mixed cocktail.

Appearance. Deep ruby to purple-red (25-35 SRM) with a pinkish-white, medium-sized head of moderate retention. Clarity is clear to slightly hazy, showing visible carbonation.

Aroma. High intensity. Dominant aromas of fresh blackberry and sweet strawberry are immediately present. Distinct botanical notes of juniper and herbal gin aromatics mingle with a sharp lime zest. Malt character is very low, providing just a hint of grainy sweetness. No hop aroma is perceived.

Taste. Initial impression is a tart, juicy burst of cassis and mixed berries. Mid-palate reveals the botanical gin influence, adding a dry, herbal counterpoint to the berry sweetness. Lime juice provides a refreshing acidity that balances the fruit. Bitterness is very low, allowing the cocktail-like acidity to drive the balance.
