Adagio presents an opulent sensory journey, born from a collaboration between Van Moll and Põhjala. This British Strong Ale underwent ten months of maturation in Brazilian Cachaça barrels, imbuing the deep mahogany liquid with exotic nuances of green sugar cane, vanilla, and toasted oak. The aroma is a dense tapestry of toffee and dark dried fruits like raisins and plums. On the palate, expect a luxurious, chewy malt body characterized by caramel and nutty depth, seamlessly integrated with the spirituous warmth of the Cachaça. A moderate bitterness balances the residual sweetness, finishing with a lingering, sophisticated alcoholic glow.

Appearance. Deep mahogany to dark reddish-brown with a thin, light-tan head that shows moderate retention. Generally clear with ruby highlights when held to the light.

Aroma. High intensity. Rich malty-sweetness featuring notes of toffee, toasted nuts, and dark caramel. Pronounced fruity esters of plum and raisin are joined by distinct Cachaça-derived scents of fresh cane sugar and spicy oak. Alcohol is noticeable but smooth.

Taste. Initial impression is of complex, rich malt—specifically deep caramel and toffee. Mid-palate reveals Cachaça-driven woodiness and a subtle grassy sweetness. Bitterness is moderate, providing enough structure to offset the malt. The finish is long and warming with a balanced-sweet character.

Mouthfeel. Full and chewy body with a smooth, velvety texture. Low to moderate carbonation. Significant alcohol warmth is present, reflecting its 11% strength, yet it remains well-integrated without being harsh.
