Una cerveza muy compleja y con cuerpo, con un postgusto largo. Color oscuro y profundo, es bastante oleosa y picante, con aroma de malta tostada, pasas, ciruelas... chocolate y vino de Oporto, deja un regusto seco.

MERK INFORMATIE
De bieren die tegenwoordig op de Abdij worden gebrouwen vinden hun oorsprong in tradities die zijn overgenomen van de oorspronkelijke Val-Dieu monniken. Historisch stonden de cisterciënzer ordes bekend als talentvolle brouwers. Eeuwenlang hebben de monniken het gisten bestudeerd. Ze maakten van het brouwen een wetenschap door het creëren van speciale recepten die telkens weer verfijnd werden. Tegenwoordig zijn de bieren die in Val-Dieu gebrouwen worden geïnspireerd door de traditionele recepten van de monniken. Er wordt trouw gebleven aan de traditie van de bieren met nagisting op fles. De bieren zijn echte authentieke Belgische Abdijbieren!
