This celebratory German Helles Exportbier showcases a sophisticated depth driven by heritage Hana Malt. On the nose, it offers an inviting balance of grainy-sweet, bready foundations uplifted by the floral and spicy notes of Goldings and the distinct, refined herbal-citrus qualities of Akoya hops. The palate mirrors this harmony, delivering a smooth, medium-bodied experience where the rich malt sweetness is countered by a firm, supportive bitterness. It finishes medium-dry with a lingering flinty sharpness characteristic of the style. Clean, crisp, and remarkably drinkable, it captures the rustic elegance of a traditional Dortmunder with a modern hop twist.
Appearance. Deep gold color (SRM 5) with brilliant clarity. Features a persistent, dense white foam head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring bready and doughy malt from the Hana Malt. Hop aroma is medium-low, presenting a blend of floral Goldings and light minty or citrus-herbal Akoya notes. Clean lager fermentation profile without esters.
Taste. Initial grainy-sweet maltiness followed by a crisp, noticeable bitterness. Flavors of fresh bread and herbal spice predominate. Well-balanced between the heritage malt and the spicy, earthy hop character. Finishes medium-dry with a hint of mineral roundness and a clean aftertaste.
