Urthel Saisonni re is an evocative Belgian-style Saison that presents a sparkling golden hue with a characteristically unfiltered, slight haze. Brewed at the renowned De Koningshoeven, it delivers a high-fermentation profile rich with aromatic complexity. The nose offers a refreshing blend of citrusy esters and spicy, peppery yeast notes. On the palate, a soft, grainy malt backbone supports a firm bite of continental hop bitterness, leading to an exceptionally dry and effervescent finish. Appearance. Pale gold (approx. 6 SRM) with a slight, persistent haze from being unfiltered. Features a long-lasting, dense, rocky white head that leaves intricate Belgian lacing on the glass.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity aromatic profile. Dominated by fruity-spicy yeast esters suggesting lemon zest and pear, coupled with a distinct black pepper phenolic character. Low to moderate floral and earthy hops complement a light, grainy malt background.
Taste. The palate opens with a balance of fruity citrus and spicy yeast, followed by a soft, grainy malt flavor.
