This collaborative Weissbier reimagines tradition by layering the vibrant, candy-like red fruit and tropical notes of Superdelic hops over a classic bready wheat base. The aroma is a complex weave of spicy clove and ripe banana from the yeast fermentation, further elevated by subtle berry and citrus nuances from Ariana hops. At 6.5% ABV, it offers more presence and richness than a standard wheat beer while maintaining a characteristically fluffy, effervescent texture. The palate balances grainy-sweet malt with modern hop character, finishing clean with a lingering hint of tropical fruit and soft herbal spice.
Appearance. Pale gold with a significant haze from high wheat content and yeast. Crowning the pour is a very thick, moussy, and persistent white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Dominant esters of banana and red berry are matched by spicy clove phenols. A grainy, doughy wheat backbone provides a solid foundation, while hops contribute light herbal, citrus, and tropical fruit top notes.
Taste. The initial impression is a creamy burst of banana and tropical fruit, followed by bready malt sweetness. Modern hops introduce unique candy-like red currant flavors. Bitterness is low, allowing the yeast and hop fruitiness to lead. The finish is relatively dry and refreshing with a lingering clove and berry aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body, slightly heavier than a standard version due to the elevated alcohol. High carbonation provides a spritzy, effervescent lift, while the wheat protein creates a fluffy, creamy mouthfeel. Subtle alcohol warmth is present.
