Galactic Splash delivers a sensory immersion into a tropical nebula, defined by its creamy fruit explosion profile. This Hazy IPA showcases the unique HBC630 Yakima Chief hops, which impart distinctive notes of sweet cherry and peach that intertwine with bold additions of mango and passionfruit. The inclusion of lactose enhances the velvety texture, bridging the gap between the hop-derived stone fruit and the punchy tropical adjuncts. Expect a lush, saturated experience where the bready, neutral malt provides a soft canvas for a complex, juicy finish that highlights the luscious fruit character without the presence of any harshness.
Appearance. Deep straw to light orange (4-6 SRM) with a high degree of opacity and a characteristic hazy shine. It supports a thick, meringue-like white head with high retention and significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity aromatics of ripe mango and tart passionfruit. The HBC630 hops provide a complex bouquet of stone fruit and sweet berries, supported by a clean, bready malt backdrop and a subtle, creamy sweetness from the lactose addition.
Taste. Initial impression is a wave of tropical fruit juice. High hop flavors of passionfruit and mango dominate, followed by the cherry and peach nuances of the HBC630 variety. Malt is low, appearing as soft white bread. Bitterness is low-medium and exceptionally smooth, leading to a medium-sweet, fruit-saturated finish with no hop harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a noticeably smooth, creamy texture enhanced by the lactose. Carbonation is moderate, providing a gentle lift to the palate. Alcohol warmth is minimal, and there is an absence of astringency.
