This Double IPA showcases the vibrant, citrus-forward character of Citra hops, delivering intense notes of grapefruit, lime, and tropical mango. While adhering to the strength of the style, it veers into the New England-style territory with a dense, hazy appearance and a notably full malt body that leans toward the sweeter side. This residual malt sweetness perfectly balances the elevated 8% alcohol, ensuring a velvety texture and high drinkability. Despite its potency, the bitterness remains restrained, allowing the lush hop oils and stone fruit esters to dominate the palate through a smooth, lingering finish that masks its formidable strength.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (7-11 SRM). Opaque with a heavy haze typical of the hazy sub-style. Thick, creamy, long-lasting white head with fine lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop-forward bouquet featuring dominant Citra attributes: zesty grapefruit, tangerine, and underlying passion fruit. Supportive bready malt sweetness in the background with light tropical esters and no harsh alcohol presence.

Taste. Strong citrus and tropical fruit flavors. Initial bready, honey-like malt sweetness persists into the mid-palate. Bitterness is mild—notably lower than traditional West Coast versions—providing a soft balance. Clean fermentation with a smooth, fruity finish and a lingering citrus aftertaste.
