Funny Cause It’s True is a vibrant Hazy IPA that exemplifies the juicy New England style through an intentional double dry-hopped approach. It presents an intense sensory profile defined by a saturated tropical fruit character, offering lush notes of mango, pineapple, and passion fruit. The 6% ABV provides enough structure to support the hop intensity while maintaining high drinkability. The focus remains on a soft, pillowy smoothness that balances the massive hop-forward nature of the brew. Appearance. Straw to light amber (3–7 SRM) with a deep, opaque haze that provides a luminous shine. It is topped by a dense, white, meringue-like head with high retention and substantial lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by tropical fruits including mango and guava, alongside bright citrus zest. The malt presence is low and supportive, offering a neutral, lightly bready character. Clean fermentation profile with subtle fruity esters that complement the hop-forward bouquet.
Taste. Massive tropical hop flavors—notably pineapple and stone fruit—take center stage. Low to medium-high perceived bitterness is well-masked by the soft malt profile and fuller body. The malt is grainy and simple, allowing the hops to lead entirely. It finishes off-dry to medium with a lingering, juicy fruit aftertaste that lacks any hop burn or harshness.
