This Belgian Single is a masterclass in sessionability, delivering immense character at a low strength. The use of Citra and Columbus hops provides a vibrant sensory profile of pithy grapefruit and tangerine zest, which integrates seamlessly with the spicy, peppery phenols of the Belgian yeast. A grist of pale malts and oats ensures a surprisingly creamy, structured body that belies its light frame, preventing the high hop bitterness from becoming harsh. It finishes exceptionally dry and crisp, leaving a lingering trail of citrus and floral spice, making for a refreshing yet complex table beer.

Appearance. Pale yellow to light gold (3-4 SRM) with generally good clarity and a slight haze from the oats. Features a moderate, persistent, billowy white head with characteristic lacing.

Aroma. Moderate intensity with a bright citrus character of grapefruit and tangerine from the hops. Low bready and crackery malt notes from the pale malts. Moderate spicy yeast phenols, reminiscent of black pepper, and light floral notes.

Taste. Initial light bready malt flavor followed by pithy grapefruit and vibrant tangerine. Soft, grainy malt palate with medium-high bitterness accentuated by a crisp, very dry finish. Yeast-derived spicy phenols and citrusy hop character persist into the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body, appearing fuller and smoother than expected due to the addition of oats. High carbonation with a slightly prickly sensation. No alcohol warmth.
