This sessionable American Stout presents a complex intersection of classic roast and spirited maturation. A nitrogenated pour ensures a velvet-textured delivery of intense roasted coffee and dark chocolate notes, characteristic of its robust malt bill. Distinctive oak-soaked bourbon additions introduce layers of warming whiskey and subtle vanilla, which soften the firm bitterness. While lower in strength than a typical American Stout, it retains a rich, espresso-driven depth complemented by caramel sweetness. The result is a luxurious yet refreshing dark ale where the charred oak and spirit character provide a sophisticated, lingering finish against a backdrop of deep, roasted grains.

Appearance. Jet black (SRM 35-40) and completely opaque. It features a thick, persistent, creamy tan head with fine bubbles and exceptional lacing, typical of a nitrogenated pour.

Aroma. High intensity aromas of espresso and bittersweet chocolate. Prominent notes of vanilla and light toasted oak from the bourbon infusion. Hop aroma is low, leaning toward resinous. Very low esters with no acidic or acrid sharpness.

Taste. Initial flavors of roasted coffee beans and dark cocoa. A moderate-high bitterness is balanced by rich caramel and the smooth, spirituous character of bourbon. Subtle oak tannins provide structure. Finishes medium-dry with lingering notes of cold-brew coffee and vanilla.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a luxurious, velvety, and creamy texture. Carbonation is low due to the nitrogen gas. Despite the sessionable alcohol content, there is a perceived gentle warmth from the whiskey-soaked oak.
