This Hazy IPA presents an intense, modern sensory profile driven by the hallmark New Zealand hops, Nelson Sauvin and Riwaka. The aroma is a vibrant explosion of white grape, crushed gooseberry, and pungent passion fruit, supported by a soft, bready malt backbone. On the palate, the experience is creamy and juicy, delivering layers of tropical citrus and pink grapefruit with a restrained, smooth bitterness. Its hallmark opacity and soft mouthfeel create an approachable texture, while the interplay of stone fruit esters and vibrant hop oils lingers through a clean, off-dry finish that emphasizes drinkability and aromatic depth.
Appearance. Pours a hazy, glowing straw to pale gold color (4-5 SRM) with a high degree of opacity. Topped by a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity. Dominated by tropical and vinous hop characters; Nelson Sauvin provides white wine and gooseberry, while Riwaka adds intense passion fruit and citrus zest. A neutral, bready, and lightly grainy malt background supports the hops without any caramel or toast. Clean fermentation with subtle fruity esters.
Taste. Massive fruity hop flavors featuring white grape, grapefruit, and tropical fruit. Malt flavor is low, providing a simple bready foundation. Bitterness is moderate but perceived as low due to the soft, full body. The finish is off-dry and smooth, lacking any hop harshness or astringency, with a lingering fruit-forward aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy texture. Carbonation is moderate. Displays light, well-integrated alcohol warmth and maintains a smooth, non-viscous feel without any acidic or starchy harshness.
