ULTIMA’s They All Look the Same delivers a vibrant sensory experience rooted in the classic American IPA tradition. A striking aromatic profile led by Chinook and Simcoe imparts deep layers of resinous pine and spicy grapefruit, while the addition of Sultana introduces bright bursts of pineapple and ripe citrus. The malt foundation remains intentionally lean, providing a clean, grainy support that allows the aggressive hop character to dominate. On the palate, a firm bitterness provides structure, leading to a crisp, dry finish. This medium-bodied ale balances its bold hop saturation with a smooth, lingering resinous aftertaste and a clean fermentation profile.
Appearance. Deep gold to light amber (SRM 7-10). Brilliant clarity with a moderate, persistent white head leaving fine lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of pine needles, damp earth, and resinous sap. Supporting citrus notes of lemon zest and tropical pineapple are present. Low, clean, cracker-like maltiness supports the hops without competition. Clean fermentation profile.
Taste. High hop flavor echoing the aroma with resin, pine, and grapefruit pith. Low, grainy maltiness provides a subtle bready foundation. Medium-high bitterness is firm but not harsh. Finishes dry and crisp with a lingering, hoppy, and resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth texture. Medium-high carbonation provides a crisp mouthfeel. Very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present without any astringency.
