This Imperial British Brown Ale presents a complex tapestry of dark malt and unique adjuncts. Brazilian cold brew coffee integrates seamlessly, offering a soft roasted depth without harshness. Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Sweet malt base of toffee and light chocolate. Distinctive Mahleb character contributes notes of almond, cherry pit, and spice. Fragrant, nutty Brazilian coffee adds a smooth roasted layer. Low earthy hop notes and moderate fruity esters.
Taste. Initial impression of caramel and toasted biscuit. The Greek Mahleb provides a unique nutty and subtle stone-fruit flavor. Mid-palate reveals smooth, chocolatey coffee notes from the Brazilia cold brew. Bitterness is medium-low, effectively balanced by malt depth. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering hint of roasted spice.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body, slightly more viscous than a standard brown ale due to the 7% ABV. Medium carbonation. A gentle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present. Smooth texture with no astringency from the coffee or spices.
