This American Brown Ale presents a complex tapestry of toasted flavors, characterized by a deep hazelnut and biscuity malt core. Taste. Initial impressions of toasted bread and nutty sweetness transition into a more complex mid-palate of dark chocolate and light roast. The bitterness is medium-high, derived from both roasted malts and spicy hops, preventing the sweetness from becoming cloying. The finish is medium-dry and crisp, leaving a lingering cocoa and earthy spice aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notable silkiness and creaminess from the heavy oat addition. Carbonation is moderate, and the 5.9% ABV provides a very light, well-integrated warmth without astringency.
