This Double IPA is a vibrant sensory journey into a lush, hop-forward galaxy. Massive additions of Mosaic and Nelson Sauvin drive an intense tropical core of mango and pineapple, while Simcoe and Rakau contribute bright layers of citrus peel and blueberry. The addition of Cryo Nectaron and Cryo Columbus adds a deep, resinous dankness and concentrated orange zest. Despite its 8% strength, the beer maintains a smooth, creamy texture characteristic of modern hazy iterations. This is an assertive yet balanced expression of New World hops, finishing with a clean, lingering bitterness that invites another sip.
Appearance. Gold to light orange (SRM 6-9). Opaque and hazy with a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head and fine lacing.
Aroma. High intensity. Explosive tropical fruit including pineapple and mango, alongside stone fruit, orange, and lemon citrus. Significant resinous and dank hop character is present, complemented by light blueberry notes. Neutral, grainy malt provides a subtle background.
Taste. Initial burst of tropical juice and citrus oil with pronounced mango, orange, and pineapple. Mid-palate reveals complex berry and resinous pine. Bitterness is firm but soft and well-integrated. The malt character is supportive, clean, and bready. Finishes medium-dry with a long, fruity, and resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, creamy texture. Moderate carbonation. Subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present without harshness or astringency.
