UCHU BREWING BIG BANG IPA
This Hazy IPA presents an explosive aromatic profile driven by a heavy double dry-hopping of Citra and Mosaic. The sensory experience is dominated by an intense explosion of tropical and citrus fruits, specifically featuring layers of ripe orange, zesty grapefruit, and succulent passionfruit, accented by bright lemon and lime. The addition of oats and maltodextrin creates a characteristically soft, pillowy mouthfeel and a supportive, grainy-sweet malt backbone. It finishes with a restrained bitterness, allowing the vibrant, juicy fruit esters and hop oils to remain the focus of this modern, highly-saturated expression.
Appearance. Straw to deep gold with an orange hue. Opaque and hazy with a characteristic shine. Features a medium, meringue-like white head with very high retention and substantial lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring massive tropical notes of passionfruit and citrus notes of orange and grapefruit. Low, grainy malt sweetness in the background with clean, fruity fermentation esters.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor mirroring the aroma with prominent orange, grapefruit, and passionfruit. Low to medium-high perceived bitterness that is soft and never harsh. Finishes off-dry and smooth with a lingering, juicy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, silky texture from the oats and maltodextrin. Moderate carbonation. Very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth with no astringency or hop burn.
